Job interview tips

I found this clip on youtube it's an interview with Mike Aguilera he is an communication expert. During this interview he talks about the importance of subcontious communication during job interviews. How to control your body language and the importance of eye contact. He goes on to talk about what kinds of question you should ask the interviewer. I think these are some more insights to what we already have learned.

  1. I think the most interesting point made in this clip is that moving slowly conveys confidence, while moving quickly conveys a lack of control.

Mike Aguilera (no relation to Christina, presumably!) also demonstrates how to ask a clarifying question, if you don't know how to answer an interviewer's question - which is worth thinking about and practicing.

However, I find his suggestion that you should ask "What kind of person are you looking for in this job?" early in the interview (so as to tailor your answers to those qualities) to be unrealistic - because most interviewers will only invite your questions at the end of the interview. (It is still worth asking that question, though, as you will have a better idea of whether or not the job is for you - and you may still be able to add a comment or two about how you fit the bill).
