PowerPoint is a multimedia tool that uses to create animation and graphics for slide show presentations. People use PowerPoint to capture audience’s attention and to enhance presentation importance. However, people sometime tend to lose themselves in finding more animations more graphics, and more slides. In this article, the author provides ten secrets to create effective PowerPoint. I would say the basic rule for a good presentation is to keep it attractive, simple and clear.

Here are ten secrets based on the author’s experience:

1. “Start by creating an outline
2. Using contrasting colors
3. Using a big enough font
4. Stop the moving text
5. Turn the pointer off
6. Use visuals instead of text slides
7. Have slides at the end of your presentation
8. Be able to jump to any slide
9. Blank the screen
10. Draw on the screen during a presentation” (Paradi, 2008).
