Martin Luther King Jr. was a great professional speaker who helped bring equal rights, to the United States, and other countries, Being steps closer to stopping racism. He made the "I Have a Dream Speech," in 1963, while marching in Washington, to help racism stop.
Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated at 6:01 p.m., on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, by someone who didn't like him, because of how he changed the United States.
As said on Wikipedia:
"Martin Luther King Jr. Day was established as a U.S. federal holiday in 1986."
I think that it was a good and rare thing for someone like Martin Luther King Jr. to be brave enough to professionally speak out during times when not everyone like each other, because of the colour of their skin.
Martin Luther King Jr., his speeches, and historical events being honoured so much, gave him a holiday.

I think that his speech was extremely well done. I believe his speech is beyond being professional. When I think of professional speeches, I think of boring business talks that involves no bias, emotion, or passion. It is something that you have to listen to either to your benefit, or because you boss forces you to. Martin Luther King Jr's speech is a speech that is extremely passionate and that it gets your attention in different levels, and the fact that he appeals to emotions, hope, and faith in mankind is what draws the crowd's attention. But most of all, because he CLOSELY relates to his audience, they are listening and taking in ever word he says. Speeches like that come once in a generation, and I'm glad that I was able to hear part of this speech in communications class.
