Martin Luther King Jr. was a great professional speaker who helped bring equal rights, to the United States, and other countries, Being steps closer to stopping racism. He made the "I Have a Dream Speech," in 1963, while marching in Washington, to help racism stop.
Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated at 6:01 p.m., on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, by someone who didn't like him, because of how he changed the United States.
As said on Wikipedia:
"Martin Luther King Jr. Day was established as a U.S. federal holiday in 1986."
I think that it was a good and rare thing for someone like Martin Luther King Jr. to be brave enough to professionally speak out during times when not everyone like each other, because of the colour of their skin.
Martin Luther King Jr., his speeches, and historical events being honoured so much, gave him a holiday.

The King's Speech (King George VI)
The movie "The King's Speech" is about King George VI, who stutters while talking.
He gets helped by an Australian speech therapist, who helps him to become a good speaker, and becomes his friend. He eventually makes a great speech on a balcony, in front of a balcony, on the day that Britain Declared War on Germany.
Although I haven't seen the movie yet, I think that the story of a (new) King overcoming his
speech-related, stuttering problem was not only important for King George VI, to overcome, because of his high status, but it was also a great accomplishment in a professional-communication-way.
People who stutter a lot, or have other speech-related problems, can really relate to this movie. People may be motivated to try to fix their own speech-related problems.
